Conferences/Opportunities

The annual meeting of NAASE is held in conjunction with the annual meetings of the Western Economic Association.

NAASE regularly schedules sessions at several annual economics conferences including the Western Economic Association Conference (held in July), the Eastern Economic Association Conference (held in March), and the Southern Economic Association Conference (held in November). Sessions are also often held at other regional conferences including the Missouri Valley Economic Association (held in October)and the International Atlantic Economic Society (held in October), and the Western Economic Association International Conference (generally held in January in Pacific Rim countries). If you are interested in presenting a sports economics paper at one of these conferences, please contact the relevant session organizers listed below.

NASSE encourages its members to organize sports economics sessions at other national conferences and is open to facilitating colloquia to discuss special topics. If you would like to organize sports economics sessions at other upcoming conferences, Please contact the NAASE President for more information about how to go about this.

Dennis Coates invites interested individuals to contact him about the book series Sports Economics, Management, and Policy, published by Springer. To date, 11 volumes have been published in the series. If you have an idea for a book to contribute to the series, please read the announcement flyer for information regarding submissions. Topics on little studied sports are especially welcome.
